Is the hostel in the centre of Barcelona?

No, Mucha Masia is located in El Prat de Llobregat, just fifteen minutes away from Barcelona but with excellent transport connections. Prat Estació Underground and train station are less than ten minutes’ walk away. You can also access to several bus lines or if you prefer you can ask our staff for a taxi.

How do I cancel or amend my reservation?

If you’ve booked on our website you can cancel up to 48 hours before arrival. If you need any further information, please, don’t hesitate to contact us at contacto@muchamasia.com, we’ll be pleased to help you

Can I just turn up to the hostel to book a bed/room?

For sure! We always try to keep a few beds available for walk-ins. It can get busy in the cities though, especially in the summer, so we’d suggest giving us a call on +34 93 348 58 67 or send us an email to contacto@muchamasia.com  to check availability.

I haven’t received a confirmation email. What should I do?

First off, check that it hasn’t slipped into your junk folder! If it’s not there, then get in touch with our lovely Reservations team and they’ll be able to help you out: +34 93 348 58 67 / reservas@muchamasia.com .

How do I make a group booking?

If there’s 8 or more of you who’d like to book to stay with us, please get in touch with our staff. Please note that we don’t accept bookings for Stag & Hen parties.

Will my friends and I all be in the same room?

We do our very best to make sure you and your friends are all placed in the same room (please note, however, that we can’t be held responsible if you discover a secret snorer amongst your group!). In the unlikely event that we can’t put you all together, we’ll let you know before you arrive.

 

Are there any restrictions because of age?

No, there aren’t. We will obey the law depending on your age at your arrival

 

How long can I stay in the hostel?

You can stay with us as much as you need. Contact us at reservas@muchamasia.com for longer stays.

What’s a dorm room?

If you book a dorm room, you’ll be sleeping in a bunk bed and sharing your room with other travelers. Dorm rooms range in size from 6 beds to 8 bed dorms. Staying in a dorm is a great, budget friendly option and the best place to stay if you’re looking to meet new people and make friends.

 

What’s a private room?

A private room is a single, twin or double room that’s just for you, or for you and your friends. If you don’t fancy sharing with people you don’t know, this is the option for you! Twin and double rooms are always private and you can make any dorm private by booking out all the beds in the room. The bathroom will be shared instead.

 

Are the dormitories mixed?

Dorms are mixed unless you book a full room.

 

How do I get to Mucha Masia?

Our hostel is situated close to the core means of transport in El Prat de Llobregat so you shouldn’t have any problem to get it. Check out the hostel location at our webpage and you’ll find more indications about it.

Where can I get info about the city?

If you want to scout out the coolest stuff to do before you get to the city, check out our webpage with the schedule and blog.

The Mucha Masia team at the hostel are there to help you with finding your way around the city. They’ll also be happy to share their favourite local hot spots with you!

 

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 1 pm. Our Reception is open 24/7, so if you’re arriving late, just get in touch at reservas@muchamasia.com so we know you’re coming! If you arrive before 1 pm, feel free to pop your bag in the free luggage room and get out and explore the city!

You’ll need to be packed up and out of your room by 11am on the day that you’re leaving. Please drop your key back at Reception – other guests can use it after you! If you aren’t leaving the city until later in the day, then then leave your bag in the free luggage room and carry on exploring.

 

What’s the deal with breakfast?

If you choose a shared room breakfast is optional, 5€ person and day. In private rooms breakfast is included. We provide two different breakfast varieties to pick:

– Spanish Breakfast: it consists on “chapata” daily bread with tomato and cold meats + organic juice and coffee or tea.

– Grains: cereals + fresh fruit + yogurt + coffee or tea.

 

The Breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am, get in touch with us for special times and intolerances.

 

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

A pillow, duvet and fresh bedding awaits you! Towels are provided in private rooms but you’ll need to bring your own or rent one from Reception for a small fee if you’re staying in a dorm.

 

Where can I leave my things?

If you arrive before 1 pm, you can pop your bag in the free luggage room and head out and explore the city! You can do the same on the day you check out if you’re not leaving the city until later.

Remember that if you want to get the key to your room, you’ll have to pay a deposit which will be refunded when you leave, in this way we’ll assure you’ll always keep it under control.

 

Can I smoke in the hostels?

Sorry, it’s strictly no smoking inside the hostels! If you enjoy a nicotine fix every now and then, you’re welcome to smoke outside the hostel.

 

Can I bring alcohol into the hostel?

Our rules don’t forbid it. You can bring it but remember you aren’t alone, there are other guests in the hostel so drink with moderation and respect the others.

 

Is there maximum time to arrive at night?

Of course not, the reception is open 24 hours so you’ll be welcomed at any time.

 

What do I need to make my reservation?

You should give us your updated ID to confirm your reservation.

 

Is the hostel available to disabled people?

Yes, our hostel is adapted to disabled people. There is a bathroom and a room for them and they can access easily to all parts of the hostel.
