2026 is a vibrant year for the city of Barcelona. In this blog post, we list the major events taking place in Barcelona in 2026 — those you simply can’t miss and that could be the centrepiece of your visit to the city. Concerts and festivals, conferences, sporting events and award ceremonies: there is no shortage of highlights in this selection prepared by Mucha Masia.
Goya Awards
A quarter of a century later, Barcelona once again hosts the Goya Awards gala, the most important event in Spanish cinema. The ceremony brings together directors, actors and industry professionals to recognise the best films and performances of the year. It will take place on 28 February at the Auditori Fòrum CCIB.

On a cinematic note, it is also worth highlighting that in 2026 the Verdi cinemas celebrate their centenary and have prepared a packed programme of activities to mark the occasion.
Mobile World Congress
Once again, Barcelona will host the Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest conference dedicated to mobile technology and connectivity. From 2 to 5 March, the most cutting-edge and innovative companies will gather at Fira de Barcelona to showcase their latest developments in devices, networks, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Rosalía in concert
Rosalía was one of the brightest musical stars of 2025 thanks to the release of her latest album, Lux. In 2026, her light will shine across dozens of stadiums with the Lux Tour. In Barcelona, she will perform on 13, 15, 17 and 18 April at the Palau Sant Jordi.

Primavera Sound
Still on the musical front, we cannot forget Primavera Sound, one of the most important festivals hosted in Barcelona. In 2026 it will take place from 3 to 7 June and, as every year, will bring together major national and international artists.

Grand Départ of the Tour de France
In the sporting arena, one of the standout events is the Grand Départ of the Tour de France, one of the most closely followed competitions in the world. On 4 July, Barcelona will host a team time trial, and on 5 July it will welcome the finish of the race’s second stage. Thousands of people will take to the streets to watch the world’s best cyclists in action.
