A Journey Through History: Iconic Buildings in El Prat You Can Visit
El Prat de Llobregat, the town where we are located, boasts a collection of iconic buildings that everyone should visit during their time in the city. In this blog post, we’ll go over them so you don’t miss a single one.
The Masia of Mucha Masia
Over two centuries old, the Masia where our accommodation is located is one of the few remaining within the urban centre of El Prat. Masias are traditional Catalan country houses used as both residences and farms. Some, like ours, have taken on new functions.
Cèntric
Designed by Manel Brullet i Associats SL and inaugurated in 2010, Cèntric is a dynamic cultural facility that brings together several services: the Antonio Martín library, the municipal archive, the auditorium, an exhibition hall, and a restaurant space, among others. It also has a metro stop.
Casa Gomis (La Ricarda)
Opened in 1963, Casa Gomis, located in the protected natural area of La Ricarda, was designed by architect Antoni Bonet Castellana. It is a stunning example of rationalist architecture.
Torre Muntadas
This was once the holiday home of the Muntadas family, who belonged to the Catalan bourgeoisie. Designed by Lluís de Miguel i Roca, it dates back to 1885. Nowadays, it is an arts centre that hosts exhibitions and serves as the home of Teatre Kaddish.

Torre Balcells
Originally linked to agriculture in the mid-19th century, Torre Balcells is now home to the town’s School of Live Arts (music, theatre, and dance). It is especially noted for its colourful façade.

Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul
The Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul is the most important Catholic temple in the municipality. Although the current building is just over fifty years old, the site has hosted different churches since the 16th century.
