Birdwatching in the Delta del Llobregat: a wonder at your fingertips

We live in the Delta del Llobregat. It is the third largest wet space in Catalonia. Only the Delta del Ebro and the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà are larger than our Delta. Thanks to its situation at an intermediate point in the migratory routes of many bird species, it is a stopping point for various bird species. And this has made the Delta del Llobregat a paradise for birdwatching fans.

What is birdwatching?

If you have read this far, it is because the birds interest you. And maybe you are even fond of birdwatching, a growing hobby that is increasingly widespread. There are many people who spend their leisure time to watch birds. First, knowing those in your immediate environment. And then, knowing the birds of the places you visit. Or vice versa, knowing the places you visit because of your love of birds. This makes many of the birdwatchers always travel with binoculars, telescopes and photography equipment. They review in their observation lists species that have not seen and enjoy nature and the environment.

If you want to laugh, you can watch the movie The Great Year, with Owen Wilson and Stever Martin, about this curious hobby.
