The season of beach bars begins
Beach is a style of life. And we love the Prat beach. We have it close. It is unique and enjoys special characteristics. Virtually no buildings, connects you with nature. The beach can be lived in many ways, as we have already explained in other articles. That’s why today we want to focus on the beach bars of Playa del Prat. Because the life of the bars is cool. To eat, to drink a natural juice, to have a drink or to dance. And everything, next to Muchamasia, the rural hostel urbà del Prat. We start the route by the beach bars.
El Maravillas
It is one of the classics of the beach. Managed by Isaac Aliaga, he has his personal touch and a team that smiles. From a careful gastronomy, using local and noble products, where basic dishes of all life shine. El Maravillas also has its traditional events at night to dance to the sound of the waves. When the sun goes down, at El Maravillas you can enjoy a unique atmosphere to dine and have a drink, the Summer Carnival, or the music sessions at dusk on Sundays. Its schedule, from Sunday to Thursday, will be from 10 am to 12 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. In September it will reduce the schedule: Saturday from 10 to 24 and Sunday from 10 to 19 h. This chiringuito will organize sessions of live music, Yoga & Brunch and PD of electronic music and tropical rhythms, as well as pop-up dinners and beach cleaning brigades. New member in the beach bar family: Medusa by Calamar
The Medusa is the novelty of this year in the Playa del Prat. The Medusa collects the witness of the Calamari, one of the most popular chiringuitos on the beach. It arrives with force to mark the ground in the sand of the Prat. Your schedule will be from 10 o’clock until the maximum allowed time of closure, which ranges between 2.30 and 3 o’clock depending on the day of the week. Duna Chiringuito
The first chiringuito that we meet as you arrive at the Prat beach is El Duna. You will find it at access 15 of the beach, marked from the wooden walkway. El Duna hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day and on weekends it is open until 12 p.m. El Duna, despite being one of the newest, does not stop surprising. They take care of the food, with spit on the grill, and they also dominate the cocktail bar with mojitos and various summer drinks. Also, they assure you party at night. Iguana
The Iguana is another of the chiringuitos of Playa del Prat. In this case, at the Iguana you can enjoy several gastronomic proposals, such as eating a rice, and having a drink at sunset after a swim.
To the beach, by bicycle
If you are staying or staying in Muchamasia, you can go to the beach by bicycle. It is the most comfortable option. Yes it is true that you can go by bus, but the bike gives you freedom. It is a totally flat route, about five kilometers. It allows you to walk through the fields (summer is the time of melons) or caress the planes that land at the airport. Also, you get to the beach and go straight to take a bath. The bike is the best option. And if you go at night, with a flashlight you can make the way comfortably.
