Mucha Masia is Esperanzah!

El Prat does not stay still. It moves thanks to the Esperanzah Festival. This event, which this year celebrates its tenth edition, has become an essential event for lovers of music and culture committed to society. Esperanzah goes beyond the concerts and offers a lot of activities for all attendees. The Esperanzah is celebrated from 11 to 14 October at the Parc Nou del Prat and MuchaMasia is one of the official accommodation of this festival. This festival is special because it takes place in our city, a few minutes from MuchaMasia. In addition, it shares many of the values of our establishment. We believe in social conscience, the social and solidarity economy, respect for the environment and we like good music.

What is the Esperanzah Festival?

El Prat, in general, and the neighborhood of Sant Cosme, in particular, have become known in recent years thanks to this festival. A festival that was born as a crazy idea but in the end it worked. From the organization of the festival they tell us: “During the summer of 2007, a group of people linked to the association GATS (a social entity that fights for a social transformation) and the project Radiochango (a platform to make known mestizo music, committed with labor issues of social and collective conscience to transform the social reality), decide to travel to the World Music Festival. A project that attracts many Belgian NGOs that make possible the realization. ”

And the following year, in 2008, the first Esperanzah was held in El Prat, with the participation of Manu Chao. Since then it has been growing and consolidating as the reference of social change through culture and music. El Prat moves to the rhythm of Esperanzah!

Esperanzah is a woman

Since October 11, there are various proposals that you will find in the Festival. But this year highlights an interesting proposal. All programming on October 12 focuses on women. On October 12, Esperanzah is a woman. The friends of the festival say that “Only women on and behind the stage”

The objective is to devisibilize women in the world of music since it is a pending issue. Among the names Arianna Puello, Ana Tijoux and Vinila Von Bismark.

Txarango: end of tour

And the festival has more interesting surprises. On Saturday, October 13, the Esperanzah Festival will host a very special event. It is the final tour concert of Txarango. A very special show that they have called Abaraka. It is the last chance to see them in one season! Txarango has become one of the groups that never miss the event, and want to pay tribute to Esperanzah.
