The Municipal Center of Vela del Prat

For some years, sailing in El Prat is common. Just when you get to the beach you will find the CMV, or municipal sailing center. This building is the seat of all the water sports practiced in our waters. And the truth is that they offer a huge range of fun. Although summer is the time we most relate to the sea, the rest of the year you can also enjoy this place in the city. To get to the CMV you can choose the bus that goes to the beach, walk about 6 kilometers or rent one of the bicycles we have in Muchamasia. It is a pleasant and totally flat path.

Precisely the CMV offers many possibilities to launch into the sea. The objective of this municipal center is to bring sea sports to the whole world, at affordable prices. If you have never done anything related to water sports, we suggest you do a sea baptism. It is an activity of 2 or 3 hours (according to modality) that allows students to discover the environment and sailing. It is the most interesting option to start.

Then, one of the funniest options is paddle surfing. Surely you already know how it works. A surfboard with which you can go paddling through the waves. And when you feel like it, you throw yourself into the water and take a dip to refresh yourself.

If you are a lover of sailing, or want to experience how to navigate, we recommend the option of getting on a catamaran or a hobbycat. You will know the movements of the sails, the ropes and check the strength of the wind. You can also choose the traditional Skate to Sail, a historic wooden boat without rudder with great roots in El Prat. And surfing, which is also very cool.
