In collaboration with the operator Julià Tours, we offer tourist packages that will help the comfort of our guests. With this new proposal, we can offer the possibility of buying tickets in advance to visit places like the Sagrada Familia, Montserrat, Port Aventura or enjoy a day on the Tourist Bus. This is our plan for Easter

Easter. Modernism, Paseo de Gracia and Magic Fountains of Montjuïc

If you arrive early on December 6th at MuchaMasia, you will have all day ahead. The Easter holidays have just begun. Once settled in our accommodation, we left our bags and we can start. Surely you’re dying to get to know Barcelona. And there we go. We have the train five minutes from MuchaMasia. From El Prat to Passeig de Gracia takes a quarter of an hour to be in the center of Barcelona. You will be on the golden street of the city, the Passeig de Gracia. And nothing more to come out you will find a wonder: The Casa Batlló, by Antoni Gaudí. It is located in the block of discord. It is named for the neighborhood between Casa Lleó Morera by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Casa Mulleras by Enric Sagnier, Casa Bonet by Marceliano Coquillat, Casa Amatller by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. All the jewels of Catalan modernism and the first selfies of the trip will be there for sure.

La pedrera

Surely at this time you will already be hungry. After recover strength, follow the Passeig de Gracia towards the mountain. The main fashion companies have their boutiques there, along with bookstores or restaurant chains. Walking a few streets more we arrive at La Pedrera, the jewel of Gaudí after the Sagrada Familia. You will have to buy the tickets beforehand and then make a small queue, but the visit will be worth it. The interiors of this building are incredible, and the roof gives magnificent views of Barcelona and the Sagrada Familia.

Montjuïc and Magic Fount

It is worth arriving at the beginning of Paseo de Gracia, at the confluence with Diagonal, to visit the Palau Robert and take a break in its gardens. Then we take the Rambla de Catalunya and go down to the sea along a street with lots of charm, friendly terraces and curious establishments. At that time, we suggest you take the subway at Passeig de Gracia. Line 3 takes us to Paral·lel. There we will know the neighborhood of Poble Sec, just below the foot of the mountain of Montjuich. It is a neighborhood that still retains traditional charm, with many traditional bars for tapas and dinner. On the avenue of Paral·lel there are many of the theaters of Barcelona, with a very attractive billboard. The route through Paral·lel takes us to Plaza Espanya. It is one of the nerve centers of Barcelona, with the two Venetian towers as protagonists. They are the door of the Fountains of Montjuic, where we propose to end the day contemplating the spectacle of lights and water of these fountains. The metro, Line 3, will reach the University Zone, and there, Line 9 to Prat Estació, will leave you in MuchaMasia.

Second day. Museums and Sagrada Famila

Today is the turn for museums. In MuchaMasia we are very soccer fans and we do not want you to leave Barcelona without knowing the Barcelona Football Club Museum and see the Camp Nou. It is the first visit for this second day in BCN. Why do we take it as a starting point? Well, You take the Metro Line 9 in Prat Estació and get off at Collblanc, right next to Camp Nou. It is the best way to start the day. You can get the tickets to visit the museum and the Camp Nou. A highly recommended visit. And from one wonder to another. The next visit is the Sagrada Familia. (Metro Line 5, from Collblanch to SagradaFamilia).

The Sagrada Familia and the Born

Surely we have time to visit the Sagrada Familia just before eating. It is one of the jewels of Barcelona. There is nothing we can add about this monument by Antoni Gaudí, it speaks by itself. We only tell you to buy the ticket in advance and thus we can visit it on this December holidays. After eating (choose the site) we recommend you go to El Born. (Metro Line 5 to Verdaguer and from there Line 4 to Jaume I).

The stop Jaume I leaves you in Via Laietana, the gateway to the Born neighborhood. One of the most historic neighborhoods of Antigua in Barcelona. Strolling through it, with the names of the streets according to the trades it had then, go back in time. You can see the Church of Santa María del Mar, the Fossar de Les Moreres, the old Mercado del Born and the neighborhood: the Picasso Museum. One of the most important clinics with the works of the genius Pablo Picasso, located in a palace on Calle Montcada. After the visit to the Museum, you can dine anywhere in El Born. From pizzas, pintxos, tapas, Mediterranean cuisine… To return to MuchaMasia, we return to take the Metro in Jaume I and get off at Passeig de Gracia to link with the train to Vilanova in El Prat, you get off and you know the way.

Third day. The Gothic Quarter, the sea and Las Ramblas

Today we go back to Barcelona. And we will go into the tourist center. This time, we will take the Metro Line 9 to the University Zone and from there, Line 3 to Drassanes. We arrived at the seafront of Barcelona. Just in front of the Statue of Columbus (another icon of Barcelona), the end of the Ramblas and the Port Vell or old port.

The Ramblas

We enter the Ramblas. The most famous street in Barcelona, busy, full of tourists and walkers. It is worth getting carried away, walking without hurry. See flower stalls, pampering, and buildings such as the Teatro del Liceu. The Mercado de la Boqueria also deserves a little visit. It is full of colors and all kinds of fresh products. Lately it has focused a lot on tourism and has lost a certain charm. Therefore we recommend visiting other less touristy markets such as Santa Caterina (with a wavy and colored roof) or l’Abaceria (in Gràcia). From the ravine you can go to the Gothic quarter and see its wonders such as Santa Maria del Pi, the Plaza de Sant Jaume (where the Generalitat and Barcelona City Council are located), take refuge in the charming square of Sant Felip Neri. If you sit on a bench facing the church and you look closely, you can see the impacts of the Civil War projectiles on the facade.

The Gothic Quarter

Then you can enter at the Cathedral and see the courtyard of geese, or sit and read in the courtyard of the Museu Marés, open to the public. If you keep going up La Rambla you will arrive at the famous Plaza de Catalunya, the epicenter of life in Barcelona. And if you have time, you can walk through Portal de l’Àngel, the most famous shopping street in the city.

On the other side of the Rambla is the Raval quarter. Formerly known as Chinatown, it has now become a cosmopolitan neighborhood, where you can stroll to the Rambla del Raval, enjoy live music in any square or eat in an exotic Indian restaurant.

If you have the strength, take a look at Port Vell and relax with the views of the sea. Then, you have to go back following the opposite way. (Metro Line 3 from Plaza Catalunya to University Zone and Line 9 to Prat Estació)

Fourth day. El Prat. And time to leave

As a last day, we suggest you not to visit Barcelona but to know our closest environment. El Prat de Llobregat has a lot of charm, surrounded by natural spaces, beaches and agricultural fields. So after checking out and leaving your bags at MuchaMasia, today we want you to take one of our bikes and walk through the Natural Spaces of the Delta de Llobregat, flip in the Aircraft Lookout of the Airport, and relax sitting by the sea . Along the way, you will see fields of artichokes, one of the queens of our fields. Our friends of Route Delta KM 0 will guide you through all these roads and you will meet a farmer who can explain how they cultivate some exquisite products such as Artichoke Prat.

Local gastronomy

And then… you will be hungry, you have to try our two main courses: the native chicken of El Prat (potablava) and the Carxofa Prat. Precisely these days the Jornadas del Març Gastronòmic is celebrated and several restaurants of the Prat de Llobregat offer exquisite menu with these ingredients as protagonists. Eating at El Prat is the best way for you to leave barcelona with a smile.

And we do not know if you have time for more. If you have it, just ask …
