In December the snow arrives. And lovers of skiing and snowboarding are already enjoying the idea of skiing. Of course, we depend on the weather conditions, which we hope will be good. In our territory we have an advantage: from the sea to the snowy mountains there is little bit more than 2 hours. What does this mean? Well, if you stay in MuchaMasia, next to Barcelona, you can be skiing in two hours, for example, in La Molina.

If you have read us before in the blog, you will know that we like to explain how we are. You know that we love our town, football and Barça, but the snow… blows us away. We like skiing and snowboarding and we always try to escape to the Catalan Pyrenees when we got the time.
That’s why skiing is very welcome at home. We offer you all the facilities so you can stay with us. Even if you come with all the material, we will make it easy for you to save it. Surely you know the stations of the Pyrenees, but we know tricks that we will explain to you when you come to MuchaMasia.
By train to La Molina
Yes. You can go from our hostel to the foot of the track by train. So easy. A very good option to go skiing, if you have no vehicle, and you are here doing a scale, is the pack that combines travel by train + ski pass at the ski resort of La Molina. For a very affordable price, you can enjoy a great day on slopes. Very early, you take the train at the Prat station (5 minutes from MuchaMasia) to the Sants station. Once in Sants, the Puigcerdà train leaves you at the foot of La Molina. And on the way back, after an intense day, you have time to rest on the train and arrive chilly at MuchaMasia to enjoy the night.
This option is also recommended for those who do not have ski equipment and are willing to rent it at the same station in La Molina.
But not everything focuses on La Molina. In the Catalan Pyrenees there are many ski resorts an hour and a half away from MuchaMasia.
