Discover the Best Plans for July in Barcelona

Barcelona is all set to offer fantastic activities this summer. Below, we have a look at the best plans to do in Barcelona this July. Live performances, open-air cinema, local festivals, live music… the only problem will be choosing!

Grec Festival

From 26 June to 4 August, Barcelona hosts the acclaimed Grec Festival. All forms of art are welcome here, though performing arts take centre stage. The festival takes place across various venues throughout the city, offering a diverse programme, so everyone can find something they’ll enjoy. Cruïlla Festival

From 9 to 12 July, the Parc del Fòrum welcomes the Cruïlla Festival, where you can enjoy top live music, as well as art and comedy. Below, we’ve included the programme with all the performing artists. Highlights include Gracie Abrams, Sex Pistols, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Alanis Morissette, among others. Concerts at the Olympic Stadium

In July, a band and two solo artists are set to fill the Olympic Stadium and delight their fans: Imagine Dragons on 1 July, Lola Índigo on the 10th, and Aitana on the 19th.

Neighbourhood Festivals

Summer is the season for neighbourhood festivals par excellence. In July, among others on a smaller scale, the festivals of Poble-sec and El Raval take place. They’re fantastic opportunities to discover parts of the city that don’t always attract outsiders and tourists. They’re also ideal for experiencing local traditions and celebrations: fire-running devils, giants, musical choirs… Don’t miss out.

Sala Montjuïc

From 27 June to 6 August, the area beside Las Tres Chimeneas transforms into an open-air cinema. This year’s programme is packed with award-winning films from the recent awards season, such as Anora and El 47, as well as cult classics like Blade Runner and Forrest Gump. By the way, the films are screened in their original language with subtitles. Full information available here.
