Llibreria Drac (El Prat de Llobregat)
We start close to home, as Llibreria Drac is very near Mucha Masia, located at Ferran Puig Street, 37. It’s a local bookshop where you can find the latest releases from national authors. Additionally, upon request, they will bring you any book you want. It’s also worth noting that they have a section dedicated to El Prat and local authors.
Llibreria Altaïr (Barcelona)
This is a very special bookshop for travellers, as it specialises in travel literature. Llibreria Altaïr, located at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 616, has books about any country you can imagine. Chronicles, guides, novels… everything to help you get closer to distant places and inspire future trips. Furthermore, they have an agency that offers advice on organising these future travels, as well as a space where customers can leave post-its with travel suggestions.
La Central del Raval (Barcelona)
La Central is a group with three bookshops in Barcelona, but our favourite is the one in Raval. Why? Because it’s located in the former Chapel of Misericordia (Elisabets Street, 6) and because it has a unique atmosphere. In its various spaces, you’ll find books of all types. Additionally, we recommend you don’t leave without stopping by their pleasant café.
Taifa Llibres (Barcelona)
The Gràcia neighbourhood is home to many excellent bookshops. Taifa Llibres, located at Verdi Street, 12, is one of them. It’s a general bookshop, with books for all tastes, and it also has a second-hand section where you can find out-of-print gems. As a fun fact, its floor is covered with the iconic tiles found on many of Barcelona’s pavements.
