Note that this plan isn’t just for the Easter break; it’s perfect for any time of the year.

Day 1: Gaudí and Exploring the Historic Centre

Start your day by visiting the Sagrada Família, the famous basilica by Antoni Gaudí. Take a guided tour to appreciate the architectural details and learn about its history. Next, head to Park Güell, another of Gaudí’s iconic works, where you can enjoy its mosaics and panoramic views of the city.

At lunchtime, enjoy a meal in El Born, a neighbourhood filled with bars and restaurants serving traditional Catalan cuisine. Afterward, take a walk through the Gothic Quarter, where you’ll find the majestic Barcelona Cathedral and charming squares such as Plaça del Rei. End the day on La Rambla, one of the city’s most famous streets, where you can head to the Mercat de la Boqueria to sample some local bites for dinner.

Day 2: Art and Culture in Montjuïc and Modernism

In the morning, head up to Montjuïc, a hill that is home to a castle and the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), which boasts an excellent collection of Romanesque art. You can also visit the Botanical Garden and enjoy spectacular views of the city. Have lunch in the Plaza de España area, located at the foot of the hill.

In the afternoon, go to Passeig de Gràcia, where you’ll find modernist masterpieces such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera). Take the opportunity to do some shopping in the area. For dinner, try a restaurant serving tapas and paella in the charming neighbourhood of Gràcia.

Dedicate your final day to enjoying the beach. In the morning, visit Barceloneta Beach, one of the most famous, and take a walk along the harbour. You can have lunch at one of the chiringuitos (beach bars) by the sea. Afterward, stroll through the Port Olímpic area and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
