Festa Major de Gràcia

In the middle of the month, the Festa Major de Gràcia begins—one of the city’s most eagerly anticipated and eye-catching events. Locals decorate around twenty streets in the neighbourhood, which are then judged in a competition to find the best one. In addition, the festival features hundreds of events, including nightly concerts held across dozens of the area’s squares.

Festes de Sants

And with barely time to recover, the Festes de Sants kick off on 23rd August and run through to the end of the month. In this case, eleven streets are decorated. You can also enjoy live music and authentic Catalan culture.

Festival Terramar

From 25th July to 10th August, Sitges (just an hour by train from Barcelona) hosts the Festival Terramar. This year’s line-up includes major artists such as Trueno, Lax’n’Busto, and Kool & the Gang, among others.

Rubens and the Artists of the Flemish Baroque

Throughout August, you can visit the exhibition hosted at CaixaForum Barcelona on Flemish Baroque art, featuring standout works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Brueghel, and others. A must for art lovers.

Candlelight Summer: Magical Soundtracks
