The Best Things to Do in December in El Prat de Llobregat
The year is coming to an end, but there’s still plenty to do in El Prat de Llobregat, the town where we are located. Local culture and gastronomy at the Fira Avícola, theatre at l’Artesà, music at La Capsa, and the magic of Christmas. These are the best things to do in December in El Prat de Llobregat.
Fira Avícola de la Raça Prat
Popularly known as the town’s winter festival, the Fira Avícola de la Raça Prat celebrates local gastronomy and culture. Its main star is the Pota Blava, a native breed of chicken from El Prat known for the distinctive blue colour of its legs.
On 29th and 30th November, and 1st December, the Ricarda farm will host the 51st edition of this fair. At the gastronomic space, where local restaurants take part, you can taste Pota Blava in a variety of ways.
To make sure you don’t miss anything, check the fair’s website.
Double Infinite
Dancers and performers Pep Ramis and María Muñoz reunite on stage in Double Infinite, a performance built on fragility, simplicity, and a love for the art of dance. It will be shown at l’Artesà on 1st December at 6:00 pm.
Music at La Capsa
La Capsa says goodbye to the year with great music, as is customary.
On 14th December, Las Migas will perform their flamenco and rumba repertoire. On 15th December, improvisation takes the spotlight with the Jam Session. Lastly, on 19th December, DJ Nurita Sánchez will share her twenty favourite vinyl records with the audience.
Christmas in El Prat
The magic of Christmas can be experienced in El Prat in all its shine. Among the various activities that take place during the festive season, highlights include the nativity scene set up by local senior citizens in the Plaza de la Vila, the live nativity scene at the CEM Julio Méndez, and the Kings’ Parade.
