If you’re staying at Mucha Masia in October, you can’t miss out on these activities taking place in Barcelona throughout the month. Architecture, cinema, markets, concerts… Keep reading to discover the best plans in Barcelona this October.
48H Open House Barcelona
The 48H Open House Barcelona is a festival aimed at promoting architecture and helping people understand it as an essential part of culture. This is why it opens the doors to the most iconic buildings in Barcelona and other metropolitan municipalities, which can be visited for free over 48 hours. The Laberint d’Horta, Palau Macaya, La Modelo, and Casa Seat are just a few examples. This year, it will be held on 26th and 27th October. Don’t miss out.
Sitges Film Festival
If you’re a fan of fantasy and horror films, you can’t leave without visiting Sitges (an hour by train from Barcelona). From 3rd to 13th October, this coastal town in Catalonia hosts the Sitges Film Festival, with tickets starting at €7.50. Films such as Oldboy and Donnie Darko were screened here before their commercial releases.
Extra: If you’re a cinephile, you might also want to visit the exhibition dedicated to García Berlanga, hosted at CaixaForum: Interior Berlanga. It’s open throughout the month.
Mercat de Mercats
At Mucha Masia, we always promote local products, and there’s no better place to buy them than the markets. Mercat de Mercats celebrates these products and promotes municipal markets. It will be held from 20th to 22nd October and will feature tasting areas, live music, and other activities.
Concerts at Palau Sant Jordi
We finish with some of the concerts taking place at Palau Sant Jordi during the month.
On 10th October, the techno-marching band Meute takes the stage. On the 18th, Estopa will close their 25th-anniversary tour. And on the 24th, we’ll have the chance to hear Nick Cave, who hasn’t toured Europe for over six years.
