Enjoy theater and arts this spring

In this spring you can enjoy the premieres scheduled on the performance arts billboard of the Prat de Llobregat. We talk about theater, music and dance for all ages. The Arts en Viu cycle, which is what programming is called in our town, also has options for all tastes. We recommend that if you stay at the MuchaMasia hostel you can enjoy the Prat de Llobregat billboard, where we are.

Faemino y Cansado, Núria Espert and Julio Manrique

First level names are those that await us on the city’s theater billboard until May. We highlight three works that are going to be performed at the Teatre de L’Artesà and that generate public expectations. The comic duo Faemino y Cansado arrives at El Prat on Saturday April 4 with his work “17 veces”. In this way, the absurd and crazy humor of these two greats of the Spanish scene will make you laugh in a good way.

On Sunday April 26, one of the great ladies of the Spanish theater arrives at Teatre de L’Artesà: Núria Espert. The actress questions the Romancero Gitano, by Federico García Lorca. This time she does it under the direction of Lluís Pasqual. Espert interprets Lorca’s 1928 poems composed of 18 romances, where he evokes his roots.

On May 24 comes the turn of “Una Història Real”. This work is performed by Julio Manrique and directed by Pau Miró. This work deals with the relationship between parents and children and family secrets.

Concerts and music, more performing arts

Music and dance are indispensable elements of the performing arts. We started with the March 7 proposal of the Paraula de Dones, the show where we are all one. The women artists of the Prat take the stage and show all their artistic power.

Another concert that we want to highlight is “Cita amb Àngels”, a tribute to Silvio Rodríguez, with Joan Isaac and Lídia Pujol. It is a concert of artisanal character with absolute respect for the work of the poet.

The local musician Pigmy presents on May 8 his latest album, Manifestation, in La Capsa. Pigmy is an exponent of progressive rock, creating magical and timeless environments.

If you like opera, don’t miss the “Viu l’òpera” cycle. The Cèntric Espai Cultural hosts screenings of great works, such as La Bohéme, Cosí Fan Tutte or Ariadne Auf Naxos, some Saturday afternoons.

The Kaddish Theater: Lectures Radikals

The Kaddish Theater is the most veteran theater entity in the city. They are pioneers of the performing arts. They have always maintained a stable schedule of small format works. The Kaddish is in Torre Muntadas, a palace very close to MuchaMasia, and it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy the works.

For this entire period, until May, they present the Lectures Radikals cycle, a series of dramatized readings that lead to reflection and the protest and protest theater.
